Gerry Rains founded Midway in 1982. His purpose was to establish a company that assists other organizations with their outsourcing needs but at the same time helping the environment by recycling products and meeting the needs of today’s world. Midway started out manufacturing TV degassing coils for Tabuchi Electric Co. They sold their products to Sharp®, Sanyo®, Toshiba®, Mitsubishi®, and NEC® manufacturers.
As the small company grew it developed from a humble tenant house, to setting up a factory at the owner’s home. The growth led to renting space in the old city school building to our present 126,000 Sq Ft location on Hwy 412.
In early 1989, Gerry formed the company Recycle Aerosol LLC, Gerry believed there was a way to recycle aerosol products by recapturing both the product and the propellant. As a result from hard work and dedication, Gerry along with help from engineering and business associates developed the first EPA approved aerosol recovery service that we offer today.
Returns Distribution Specialists, which was founded in 1995, handles returns for manufacturers of a variety of products. R.D.S. also provides services of sorting, inspecting, picking and packing of full or broken case orders, assembling of displays, and high level data collection, specialty packaging, blister packaging for customer returns. R.D.S. is also certified by the FDA for video jetting lot codes on regulated products.
